Apple’s loyal customers have been twiddling their thumbs in anticipation for the long-awaited release of the iPhone X. We’ve been on the lookout for any and all intel about the newest iPhone; rumor has it that Apple will be releasing the iPhone X, in addition to the iPhone 8 and 8 plus, on… drumroll please… September 12, 2017.
The iPhone is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, so the newest edition is expected to feature an exciting redesign. One radical change includes an edge-to-edge display, eliminating all bezels except a top section cutout for various sensors, including a FaceTime camera, facial scanning, and earpiece. In accordance with this, there will no longer be a physical Home button; instead, rumors suggest the possibility of a software-based home button. Additionally, Apple is moving away from the aluminum construction used in previous iPhone models, opting for a glass body similar to that of the iPhone 4.

If the release turns out to not be September 12, don’t get too discouraged! Apple has historically launched its new phones on Tuesday or Wednesday of the first or second week of September, with the release being the end of the following week. Some people predict phones to hit the shelves Friday, September 22, while hopeful others are wishing for a September 6 debut and a September 15 release.
Late predictions report a starting price of $999, while earlier estimates suggested the new model could cost up to $1200.
